Today is actually July 14, 2011. I finally hacked my way back into our blog after many attempts and a long time away. Here is a post we started writing two years ago but never finished. Don't worry- it's not another golden retriever- it's just Gus when he was a little puppy. I wanted to add it to the blog so that we can remember how tiny Gus used to be. Now he weighs 100 pounds :-) I hope to make additional postings soon. The rest of this blog post was written two years ago:
To those of you may expect to see the fuzzy picture of an ultrasound - sorry. We do have our first baby in the family however - a cute 8 week old golden retriever puppy. While he may not make the most ferocious guard dog (unless the intruder is a sock, stuffed animal, or flavored like grass), he is a lot of fun. We haven't quite found a name for him (yes he is a male dog) that seems to stick, and we would love any suggestions that we can get.
On a side note - although he may not be a human baby, he still wakes up in the middle of the night and cries until you come console him. Megan was a great sport taking him outside every hour for his potty breaks - he has had very few accidents, but it sure is hard to get things done when he needs 15 minutes out of every hour of your time.
